Fowler Wine LLC Shipping Policy

Fowler Wine strongly encourages local customers to opt for winery pick up of your orders, or delivery for WI customers under our direct shipper's permit. It is safer for maintaining the quality of the wine, and less expensive for you and the winery. Plus it would be nice to meet you in person (subject to all applicable COVID19 restrictions). 

We are happy to ship to Wisconsin, Minnesota, Florida and the District of Columbia, with other states to follow shortly. All products marked "Winery Pick up or Delivery Only" means they cannot be shipped. 

Non-Compliant Orders will be Refunded

If a customer places an order to a state that Fowler Wine LLC cannot legally ship to, or the order exceeds lawful requirements of the recipient state, and the system does not catch the error, Fowler Wine LLC will manually refund your order and it will not ship. 

Products marked "winery pick up or delivery only" that mistakenly get through the system for shipping will also be refunded.

It is illegal for Fowler Wine LLC to transport alcohol across state lines improperly. So please do not even ask.

Minimum Purchase

There is no minimum purchase for winery appointment purchases, winery pick up or winery delivery to WI customers with a WI addresses within a reasonable radius of Hudson, WI. Email robert@fowlerwine.com for delivery questions. 

However, for certain products to ship, we ask that you abide by minimum purchase if customer desires winery direct shipping, including:

1) For 750 ml bottles, there is a six bottle minimum.

2) The 3 bottle/pouch sampler bundles cannot ship on their own. They can ship if your order totals 6 bottles or more. Otherwise, WInery pick up, or delivery for WI adresses only. 

NOTE: For 375 ml Adventure by Fowler WIne™ Pouches, 12 is the ACTUAL minimum order (equivalent of 6 standard 750 ml wine bottles). This is because our packaging will not ship securely any lesser amount. This one will cause us to contact you if the minimum is not met, and your order may be refunded.

NOTE: The ability to deliver direct to customer is a rule for wineries that have a WI Direct Shipper's Permit, which includes Fowler Wine LLC. Direct delivery to the consumer by Fowler Wine LLC is only available to WI residents and delivered to WI addresses. 

For winery pick up and deliveries you will be asked to pick an available time slot and asked to please adhere to that time slot. If a delivery or pick up time has been arranged and you cannot make that time, please contact us by emailing robert@fowlerwine.com or calling the winery. If customer misses two arranged pick up or delivery times, you order may be refunded with a restocking fee of $20 charged to you.

States Authorized for Direct Shipment

Due to the ever-changing nature of wine shipping laws, we may be able to ship wines, directly or indirectly, as of May 19, 2020 to: Wisconsin, Minnesota, Florida and the District of Columbia  only. This is anticipated to change to include more states soon, and this list will be updated. If Fowler Wine LLC is unable to ship directly to your state, we can arrange for the sale and shipment of our products through a third party. Please note, when dealing through a third party, wine prices, discounts, and shipping costs may differ from those quoted by Fowler Wine LLC.

Shipping Costs

UPS is the carrier of choice (common carrier). Ground shipping is provided by UPS at current market rates. *Note – If the customer selects UPS as his or her carrier, the customer pays all shipping charges, regardless of his or her wine club membership or purchase amount.

Shipping costs also includes the cost of the packing materials in the final cost. Every effeort has been taken to keep shipping costs as low as possible.

Wine is a Delicate Commodity

Wine is a perishable commodity. Wine does not like extremes of temperature: hot humid summer and cold winter weather may adversely affect the condition of your wine during shipment. Fowler Wine LLC takes care to store wine at proper temperature and condictions in the winery. Fowler Wine LLC in order to minimize the risk of wine sitting in a warehouse or truck over a weekend, Fowler Wine LLC's preferred shipment dates is Mondays only, this is for the wine's protection. Therefore, for orders to ship on Mondays, they must be placed before 11 pm Sunday. Fowler Wine LLC is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. We will hold wine shipments at reasonable customer request, email robert@fowlerwine.com.  When your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.
